Message : Duh of course its not always true, if you use a single turbo you will make less hp. "BUT" she was talking spool time, SOOOO hmmm natural she wouldnt be able to use the biggest turbo around and get the same spool time as the smallest. hmmm and I know what the stock turbos are but when I said thats the poing to TT's I meant aftermarket systems ... G after all I thought we were talking modifying a car. Stop trying to sound smart with your half ass answers.....

I understand that you are trying to learn about turbo cars. And thats cool. No problem. Just becareful where you step.

"Turbos" are not the only variable in the equation. Spool and Power are assisted by turbos. The major variables are simply "displacement", "exhaust manifold length and diameter", "exhaust system length and diameter", "exhaust system configuration (cats/mufflers)", and "intake system configuration".
Just slapping a TD-08 / 30G turbo on a Dodge Neon SRT will not equal mad power. When one purchases a turbo, they take into consideration all of the above. And all of the above need to equal to the designers intended purpose (dyno numbers only, fag-racing, road racing, autocrossing, daily driving).

Again, Welcome to TTNet. This is a great place. Feel free to exchange ideas. Just make sure they are founded on intelligent and proven wisdom.
